The Planetarium

The planetarium at the State Museum of Pennsylvania is one of the largest in the country. The theater has a domed ceiling that simulates the night sky. Planetarium shows are offered daily and are included with the price of admission. Shows cover topics such as constellations and planetary movements.

The IMAX Theater

The IMAX theater at the State Museum of Pennsylvania is one of only a handful in the state. The theater shows both educational and Hollywood films. Films are shown in 2D and 3D. Tickets for IMAX films are not included with the price of admission to the museum and must be purchased separately.
