Elizabeth A. Close brings over ten years of legal experience to the firm and focuses her practice in the areas of criminal defense and family law. Born and raised in Harrisburg, PA, Ms. Close received her undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) from the Penn State University and earned her Juris Doctorate from Widener University Commonwealth Law School.
Attorney Close began her legal career as a legal clerk and assistant to the Honorable Deborah E. Curcillo, Court of Common Pleas, Dauphin County. She then served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office for over three years and defended clients against a broad range of crimes, from minor offenses to misdemeanor and serious felony offenses.
Prior to joining private practice, Ms. Close most recently served as an Assistant District Attorney in Lebanon County, where she secured a 100% conviction rate at trial. Having practiced on both sides of the law, Ms. Close brings an invaluable perspective to her criminal defense practice, where she can easily analyze the merits of a case and create a strategy to obtain the most favorable results for her clients.
Upon Ms. Close’s transition to private practice in 2021, she expanded her practice to include family law and has represented clients in divorce, support, custody, PFA (Protection From Abuse), and Children and Youth Services cases. As a family law attorney, Ms. Close is a vigorous advocate for her clients, yet is empathetic and sensitive to the emotionally charged nature of family law proceedings.
Ms. Close currently resides in West Hanover, PA with her daughter. When she is not working, she enjoys running, outdoor activities, and spending time with her daughter, dog, and family.
